I set up my scale last night and after figuring out how to use it, I stepped on for an initial reading. 271lbs—a fair bit less than the scale at my parents’ place indicated. Obviously there are differences in scales so I’m not reading too much into it, but I guess that means I’m starting closer to my goal, which is likely a good thing. :)
Either that or I lost ~9lbs in the past couple days. Either way, I’m on my way I guess and I’m feeling pretty good after my usual breakfast of eggs and beans. Now I just need to get a bit more sleep each night and I will be in fine form.
I also learned that one of my friends on the island is also indulging this diet, so it will be nice to have someone to share the
misery experience with. Also good to have someone else recommend recipes, restaurants, etc. which was my plan to document. I will try to aggregate our collective knowledge on here.
